With no shortage of sparkles, opera gloves and all around drama, the fashion at Sunday’s Tony Awards certainly fit the bill for a celebration of Broadway’s best.Host Pink was a showstopper as she made her way down the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall, wearing a sequined black gown with a ruffled train that matched the feathered detail of her silver pixie cut.Actor and “Oh, Mary!” playwright Cole Escola was pure energy in a punchy pink Christopher John Rogers look, paired with an auburn wig, as they hammed it up with “Saturday Night Live” alum Bowen Yang.Actors Lea Michele and Aubrey Plaza took their cues straight from the runway in chic black and white ensembles from Michael Kors and Chanel, respectively.Cole Escola and Bowen Yang hammed it up during the 79th annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday.Jenny Anderson via Getty Images“West Side Story” talent Rachel Zegler was timeless in a chocolate-hued Michael Kors design, which plunged down her midsection and was elegantly draped around her waist.Setting the stage for her grand return to Broadway (rumored for next year), Sarah Paulson looked like a doll in pink and cream Erdem with bows on the shoulders and red ribbons at her hips.Broadway darling Dylan Mulvaney sparkled in a ruby Christian Siriano with a sheer, long-sleeved top and full, glittering skirt.The evening’s top contenders were a mix of bold reimaginings and undeniable classics. “The Lost Boys,” a musical adaptation of the 1980s vampire flick, and “Schimigadoon!”, an adaptation of the campy AppleTV+ series, led the pack with 12 nominations apiece.
