Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) screamed ‘F— you, first of all,” to a Fox News reporter after being asked about allegations of an affair between her and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY). “If you’re going to bring me into this like this, sexist stuff, it’s out of control — so, there’s your clickbait that you were looking for,” Boebert said.According to Hindustan Times, Cynthia West, a former staffer for Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN), alleged that Massie brought up the encounter with Boebert while the two were dating. West said she began dating Massie on August 30, 2024, two months after his wife’s death, and that she claimed he told her the encounter occurred before their relationship began.

Boebert was one of the few Republican lawmakers to publicly back Massie during the Kentucky primary for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District against President Donald Trump-endorsed candidate and former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein.

During Massie’s campaign, Boebert stated that Massie is a longtime friend whom she agreed to stand by.
