President Donald Trump said in an interview broadcast on Sunday that there is "no reason" for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates.

"We had a great report.

We're doing great, and it's unfair that whenever you do great, they want to raise interest rates," Trump told Kristen Welker on NBC's Meet The Press.

"It should be the opposite.

My feeling is that when a country is doing well, they shouldn't be penalized by immediately raising interest rates." Some economists and analysts have said that the Fed may raise interest rates following a stronger-than-expected May jobs report.
