Following the resignation of members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State and their likely to join the Accord party, an APC chieftain, Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has disclosed that the action will neither weaken its structure nor electoral prospects ahead of the August 15 governorship poll.
It would be recalled that some of Senator Iyiola Omisore’s loyalists resigned their membership of the APC last week and may likely join Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign, raising questions about party unity.
However, Oyintiloye in a statement he issued on Sunday in Osogbo, described the development as a regular feature of politics, especially during an electioneering period.
