Election Commission of India (ECI) Principal Secretary Avinash Kumar stressed on ensuring transparency and precision in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.Addressing a review meeting on SIR with officials of Tirupati, Chittoor, Annamayya and Nellore districts on Thursday, he said that the proposed rationalisation in the voters list would ensure 1,200 voters in a polling station and any excess would be forwarded to new polling stations.Ahead of this, the training sessions for the stakeholders, printing of the required forms etc. would be completed by June 14, and the Booth Level Officers (BLO) would undertake door-to-door visits to verify the presence of voters.Deputy Secretary Sanjay Kumar explained the processes such as collection of the enumeration forms, verification and validation, removal of double entries and ineligible voters from the list.Tirupati District Collector S. Venkateswar expressed confidence of overcoming the challenges involved in mapping the current details with the 2002 voters list and comparing the spelling of the names.Joint Collectors R.
