He claimed that a person earning Rs 25-30 lakh in India per year will be happier and more prosperous than a person with Rs 1 crore salary in USA.He revealed that while parents may daydream that their kid will return to India immensely wealthy, the truth was that their salary would be drained by innumerable taxes. "About 35-40 per cent of your salary will be gone..." he explained. "...the truth is something else, because here, federal tax, state tax, New York City tax, Social Security and Medicare mean thirty-five to forty per cent of your package of one crore just went to tax," he explained. He also revealed that living in NYC can be pretty expensive. House rent can go up to Rs 2-3 lakh per month he stated.Sharma’s video went very viral and gained over 22K likes. Many agreed with his take that a big fat paycheck doesn’t always translate to a great lifestyle. "Grocery is expensive... from cutting hair to electric and plumber work is also expensive," said one Instagram user.
