Warnings have been issued over a high-end fizzy drink over fears its cans may “rupture unexpectedly” and risk injuring consumers.Food standards bosses said Dalston’s is recalling some batches of its pineapple soda after concerns that the cans may break apart unexpectedly and leave sharp edges.The Food Standards Agency (FSA) released a recall notice urging customers not to open the affected cans, and to instead bring them back to supermarkets.Dalston's is recalling its pineapple soda cans over fears it could 'unexpectedly rupture' (Dalston's/FSA)The low-calorie fizzy drink is sold in Waitrose and Asda.“A packaging defect means some cans may rupture unexpectedly, leaving sharp edges,” Dalston’s warned. “This may present a risk of injury.“If you have bought any of the above product do not try and open it.
