South Africa has officially chosen its representative for one of the world's biggest beauty pageants, and the spotlight is now firmly on Gauteng's Shannon Benting.
The 30-year-old model and content creator from Northcliff has been crowned Miss Supranational South Africa 2026 and will carry the country's hopes onto the international stage when she competes at the Miss Supranational pageant in Poland next month.
The prestigious global competition is set to take place on July 31 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheatre in Nowy Sącz, where contestants from around the world will compete for the coveted crown currently held by Brazil's Eduarda Braum.
For Benting, the title represents far more than a beauty pageant achievement.
