The Tanzania High Commission in Abuja has called for stronger trade and investment partnership between Tanzania and Nigeria, saying closer collaboration between businesses in both countries is crucial to unlocking opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
The mission said in a statement on Saturday that it was intensifying efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy and deepen bilateral trade relations through increased engagement with investors, importers, distributors and other private-sector stakeholders.
According to the mission, participation in international trade platforms forms part of broader efforts to expand market access for Tanzanian products and foster mutually beneficial commercial partnership across Africa.
“The participation of the Tanzania High Commission aligns with ongoing efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy and deepen trade relations between Tanzania and Nigeria,” the statement read.
The mission said such engagements were designed to boost bilateral trade, encourage private-sector collaboration and create new investment opportunities across sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing and services.
