The members of the Malnad Area Development Board, who met in Shivamogga on Saturday, resolved to appeal to the State government to grant ₹2 crore each to all legislators of the Malnad region for development works.The members maintained that they were currently receiving approximately ₹37 lakh each, which is insufficient for essential works in their constituencies. They resolved to lead a delegation to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to seek higher allocations. The meeting was held at the MADB office in Shivamogga, chaired by R.M. Manjunath Gowda.During the meeting, the members discussed funding requirements for essential works, including construction of foot-bridges in rural areas, repair of school buildings and hospitals, provision of drinking water facilities and other basic infrastructure development. They decided to seek the State government’s guarantee for a loan of ₹300 crore from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).Legislators T.D.Raje Gowda, C.T. Ravi, S.L.
