Police have arrested six people during raids in urban planning offices in various parts of Athens, for whom there was information that they were accepting bribes to expedite procedures.

The operation, led by the police’s Internal Affairs Division, took place in offices in Kifissia, Galatsi and Marousi on Friday.

According to initial information, the criminal group is allegedly led by a woman, working in a municipality of Athens.

Some media reported that over €330,000 were found and confiscated during the police operation.

The investigation continues into the case.
