Vice-Chancellor of BLDE Deemed University, Vijayapura, Arun C. Inamadar has said that adopting artificial intelligence and machine learning in health sciences had become a necessity more particularly for the students now.Delivering convocation address at the fourth annual convocation of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University in Dharwad on Saturday, Mr. Arun called on the graduates to work sincerely with commitment, and it would help them in achieving the milestones automatically.He said that instead of comparing themselves with others, they should set their goals and work towards achieving them. Purposeful action would help in converting dreams into reality, he said.Vice-president, SDME Society, D. SurendraKumar, declared the convocation open and conferred upon the degrees. Addressing the graduates, he asked them to remember their duties as doctors and be available all the time to serve the patients.In all 397 graduates, 180 postgraduates and seven PhD students were conferred upon various degrees. As many as 10 meritorious students have received the university gold medals.Vice-Chancellor Niranjan Kumar, executive director Padmalatha Niranjan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Jeevandhar Kumar, Deputy Medical Director Saketh Shetty, Registrar Chidendra M. Shettar, Finance Officer V.G. Prabhu and others were present.SDM Dental College principal Balaram D. Naik welcomed the gathering. Mr. Shettar presented the annual report.
