Kuwait's defence ministry said in a statement that its air defences downed all seven ballistic missiles fired by Iran towards the country on Saturday.
It added that the projectiles were intercepted over several residential areas and that no casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, Kuwait's fire brigade reported several incidents of falling shrapnel from the interceptions, resulting in "two fire cases" and another case "involving site security and precautionary measures".
Egypt has issued a statement condemning the Iranian strikes on Kuwait and Bahrain as a “flagrant violation” of their sovereignty and a dangerous escalation undermining the security of the Gulf region.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the strikes came in response to US attacks on Qeshm Island and Goruk on Iran's southern coast.
