A Kenyan mother who named her son after President William Ruto shortly after the 2022 General Election has spoken out about the emotional distress her child is allegedly enduring due to persistent bullying at school.
Naomi Diana says she chose the name William Ruto for her son as a gesture of admiration following President Ruto's victory at the polls. At the time, naming new borns after prominent leaders, major events or trending national moments was a common practice among many parents.
However, what was once a proud decision has now become a source of pain for her young son, who is currently in PP2.
