Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has emphasised the need for the quick delivery of the Ibom Deep Sea Port project by requesting clear timelines, defined milestones, and actionable next steps from the project partners to move the project from the planning stage to the execution stage.

The governor made the request when he led a high-level technical engagement and working session with the project partners, the Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Group, in Paris, France, on Friday.

A statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information, Aniekan Ummanah, on Saturday said the state government and the partners have reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing the project initiative aimed at positioning the state as a leading maritime, trade, and logistics hub in the Gulf of Guinea.

According to the statement, the session reviewed the recently submitted Technical Feasibility Report prepared by Worley Parsons and examined the critical pathways for investment, project implementation, and long-term sustainability.
