I finally got around to watching the Kevin Hart Roast and, honestly, after the three-hour experience, I don't understand why so many viewers are complaining, claiming that it was offensive. Do people not understand what a comedy roast is supposed to be anymore? Or are we living in an age hyper-focused on censoring stand-up comedians?

Let us assume, for a moment, that you, the reader, don't know or understand the concept of a comedy roast. By definition, a roast is a celebratory event where a guest of honour is subjected to brutal teasing and insults by their close friends, peers, and fellow comedians.
