Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese have met in Queensland.
The prime ministers met on Friday night and again on Saturday morning in Noosa, ahead of the annual talks between the leaders of the two allies.
The pair committed to being responsive in the wake of global uncertainty, and agreed to discuss a number of actions to strengthen economic security and the business environment.
On Friday night, Albanese discussed advancing the economic relationship between the two countries, in order to make it “seamless”.
He also discussed the need to work together in a “volatile world”, where a war neither of them were part of was still having an impact.
