The organizing committee of the African Indigenous Language Film Festival has announced a new theme for its third edition.

“Threads of Culture: Weaving Inclusion Through Filmmaking” has been replaced with “Digital Bridges, Ancestral Voices: Reclaiming African Screens with Indigenous Tongues.”

The committee said the change followed a strategic review of the festival’s programme and objectives to better reflect current realities in the global film industry. Key drivers include the rise of artificial intelligence, digital distribution, and content localization.
