MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.4 earthquake jolted a town in Albay on Friday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

In its bulletin, Phivolcs said that the center of the earthquake was located 13 kilometers east of Santo Domingo at 9:58 p.m.

The earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 10 kilometers.
