Federal prosecutors characterized David Rush as a “master manipulator” and a “tremendous fraud," according to reporters in the courtroom. Rush was arrested last month after FBI agents discovered roughly 303 gold bars, $2 million in cash and more than 30 luxury watches inside his Virginia home. "It's a great honor to have helped from the standpoint of encouragement," Trump said, without elaborating on what constituted "encouragement." During his second term, Trump has explicitly called for the prosecution of his political enemies, a number of whom have faced federal criminal charges."I looked at John Bolton as somebody that was a very dishonest guy and not a smart guy," Trump told reporters on Friday. "I guess he's paying the price for certainly being dishonest."
