Google’s Pixelsnap Ring Stand grabbed attention when the magnetic Pixel 10 series launched last year, but I was never a huge fan of using it despite liking the actual concept. That’s where the OhSnap Grip Stand steps into the picture, offering the basic functionality of Google’s Pixelsnap Ring Stand while offering way more functionality and solving the problems found on Google’s accessory.
The idea of Pixelsnap Ring Stand is to have a kickstand on your device that attaches using the Qi2 magnets inside of the phone (or your case). On the whole, it gets that job done, but I wouldn’t say it does it well, especially considering some of the flaws that buyers have noticed in loose screws and scuffs.
Not a bad accessory, but one that could be a lot better.
Last year, a company called “OhSnap” sent me their phone grip which, by their own description, “doesn’t suck.” It’s a PopSocket kind of concept with a little plastic portion that pops out and lets you better hold the device using whatever finger position is most comfortable for you, while letting Qi2 (MagSafe) accessories effectively pass through.
The new OhSnap Grip Stand really brings this to a new level.
