I’ve recently completed what must be a strong contender for the longest-running saga in selling one home and buying another. I won’t bore you with the details, but the entire process from start to finish was two years almost exactly to the day. As the smart home kit was part of the sales pitch of my previous apartment, I left it all behind, meaning I’d be starting again from scratch. It was in February that I dared to imagine it might actually soon be happening and to give some thought to what I wanted in my new home.
