Prince William and Princess Kate are expected to be among a group of major royals attending Princess Anne’s son’s nuptials tomorrow when he marries NHS nurse Harriet Sperling16:33, 05 Jun 2026Prince William and Princess Kate are expected to attend the intimate wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling tomorrow. The son of Princess Anne and his fiancé will tie the knot on Saturday June 6 at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, alongside a host of other senior royals.‌King Charles and Queen Camilla are also expected to attend the wedding, but will likely leave soon after the ceremony concludes to attend the Epsom Derby horse races more than 100 miles away in Surrey. The Prince and Princess of Wales, however, will reportedly stay for the duration of the wedding celebrations.‌‌A royal source said William and Kate will attend the wedding, as they told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden: “William and Catherine will be at the wedding ceremony and reception.”The source added that William, who is Peter Phillips’ younger cousin, is keen to make amends for not attending Peter’s first wedding in 2008. Peter married his first wife, Canadian-born Autumn Kelly, back in May 2008 in a grand ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor.Guests included the late Queen and Prince Philip as well as his cousin Prince Harry and the Princess of Wales. William was unable to attend the royal wedding, as he went to a different wedding instead – that of an old friend, Batian Craig, in Africa.‌A senior royal source explained at the time: “ Prince William is going to be out of the country this weekend on a long-standing prior engagement.”While William and Kate are expected to attend Peter and Harriet’s nuptials tomorrow, the official guest list has yet to be confirmed. It is believed that alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales and the King and Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will also be in attendance.‌The groom’s mother Princess Anne, and his sister and brother-in-law Zara and Mike Tindall are also expected to be at the church for the royal wedding. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have also reportedly been invited, but there has been no confirmation if they will attend. While many Royal Family members will be in the small town to celebrate Peter and Harriet, not everyone made the cut as there have reportedly been a number of people left off the guest list.Unsurprisingly, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were not invited, as they continue to be caught up in the Epstein scandal. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also missed out on an invitation, as they remain estranged from the Royal Family after years of their ongoing rift.‌Harriet and Peter reportedly met in spring 2024 at a sporting event involving their daughters from previous relationships. Just months later, the couple made their public debut as they appeared together at the Badminton Horse Trials, where Harriet mingled with Peter's mum, Anne, sister-in-law-to-be Zara.Article continues belowThroughout the first year of their relationship, the couple were spotted together at a number of social events together, such as Wimbledon as well as Cheltenham Races. In June last year, they attended Royal Ascot together where Harriet made her debut in one of the carriages during the royal procession - with the move being seen as a significant sign of her moving into the royal fold.On August 1 2025, the couple announced their engagement after one year of dating. A statement on behalf of the couple read: "Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement.
