Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke on Friday said he was travelling to India ahead of his proposed protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.Dipke plans to seek the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in several national-level examinations, including NEET, CUET, CBSE and SSC GD.Sharing an update on X, he wrote: "On my way to India. Leaving my fate in the hands of the Constitution."When will Dipke arrive at Delhi Airport?CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said Dipke, after landing in Delhi at 8 AM, will first go to the Parliament Street Police Station to seek permission for the protest to launch a peaceful protest campaign seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over what he alleges are repeated failures in the country's examination system. What are key issues?Earlier this week, he appealed to students and supporters to join the movement, linking his demand to controversies surrounding exams such as NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC GD.According to Dipke, these issues have impacted the future of millions of students and raised serious concerns about accountability in the education system. However, he urged supporters not to gather at Delhi airport to receive him, saying the response to the campaign had been far greater than anticipated and a large crowd could create inconvenience for passengers and security personnel. In a video message posted on X, he said, "The overwhelming response from those who want the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan to our call to join us at Delhi Airport was beyond our imagination. It is not feasible for so many people to assemble at the airport as it would cause inconvenience to the public and the security forces. So please do not come to Delhi airport."Instead, Dipke said he would head directly to the Parliament Street Police Station after landing to seek official permission for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar.Jantar Police Station for approval Dipke said the movement would remain peaceful and would operate strictly within the framework of law.“I will be going to the Parliament Street Police Station to seek permission directly for our peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar. We are law-abiding citizens and have to act responsibly. So please be mindful that nobody should create any kind of disturbance,” he said.He reiterated that the campaign would continue to rely on democratic and constitutional methods of protest, rather than any form of confrontation.Solidarity from Sonam Wangchuk, Prakash RajLadakh-based climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and actor Prakash Raj have expressed support for the movement. Wangchuk wrote on X, “READY FOR 6th JUNE... Armed with nothing but PEACE & LOVE Use of force if any, must not be from our side! Even if it means Jail... HAR EK KO ZINDAGI MEI EIK BAR JAIL JANA CHAHIYE NOT FOR A CRIME BUT FOR A CAUSE...!”Prakash Raj said, “Trying to reach there on 6th to show my solidarity to the most relevant Cockroach movement...since i am too far away shooting a film (a prior commitment). Trying my best to be there . Requesting all young cockroachs to crawl there...”Arrest concerns and CJP’s standAnother spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya said, "If Sonam Wangchuk could be arrested, Dipke could be arrested as well. If he's arrested, more people will rally behind us."Dipke told PTI he fears possible arrest upon return but maintains the protest is protected under constitutional rights to free expression and peaceful assembly.
