The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has announced the nominees for its Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year awards, with several of the Premier League’s standout performers earning recognition.

Arsenal players Gabriel Magalhães, David Raya and Declan Rice are among the six nominees for the Men’s Player of the Year award after helping the Gunners secure the Premier League title.

They are joined on the shortlist by Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland of Manchester City, as well as Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

In the women’s category, reigning winner Bunny Shaw is in contention to retain the award. The Manchester City striker is joined by teammate Yui Hasegawa, Chelsea forward Lauren James and Arsenal striker Alessia Russo.

Also nominated are Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson and Manchester United midfielder Jess Park.
