Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy criticized former President Joe Biden and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for stalling grants focused on enhancing transportation infrastructure.

Rebuilding America

In a post on X on Thursday, Duffy shared that since he took office, the Department of Transportation (DOT) had found over “1,832 stalled grants” that were worth $20.6 billion. The Transport Secretary outlined that the grants were stuck due to “Biden/Buttigieg-era climate and environmental justice red tape.”

Something went wrong.

He then touted that active projects had gone up 60%, while more than 74,000 projects were authorized, as well as “billions flowing into real roads, bridges, and highways.”
