The chief argued that the First Lady should focus on her family responsibilities rather than participating in matters he described as outside her constitutional mandate.

A traditional chief in Warri, Delta State, has criticised Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, accusing her of interfering in issues affecting the Warri Kingdom while failing to speak out on the country's worsening insecurity.

The chief made the remarks during a recent public gathering in Warri, where he questioned the First Lady's involvement in matters concerning the oil-rich region and argued that she has no constitutional role in the administration of the country.

In a video of the event seen by SaharaReporters, the traditional leader accused the First Lady of focusing on Warri affairs while schoolchildren and other citizens continued to be abducted in different parts of Nigeria.

"The First Lady Remi Tinubu is sitting in Abuja there. Instead of her being busy about taking care of her husband in the kitchen, she is interfering in Warri affairs," the chief said.
