Troops of the Nigerian Army operating under Operation Safe Haven have reportedly rescued six travellers who were abducted by suspected kidnappers along the Hawan Kibo–Rafin Sanyin Road in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, while efforts continue to locate a missing driver.

Following the alert, troops under Sector 6 of Operation Safe Haven reportedly mobilised to the area and launched a rescue mission, according to security analyst and counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama.
Upon reaching the scene, soldiers discovered an ash-coloured Honda vehicle abandoned on the roadway with all its occupants missing, raising fears that they had been forcibly taken into nearby bushes by the attackers.
