The abduction came hours after Sahabi took to Facebook to express concern over the worsening security situation in Wasagu villages.

A resident of Wasagu town in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Lawal Jabir Sahabi, has been abducted by suspected terrorists just hours after publicly calling on the state government to tackle the growing insecurity in the area.

The incident was disclosed on Friday by security analyst Bakatsine, who said the kidnappers stormed Wasagu town on Thursday night and abducted Sahabi along with several other residents.

"Just yesterday afternoon, he made this post. Tragically, later last night, bandits reportedly raided his area in Wasagu town, Danko-Wasagu LGA of Kebbi State, abducting him alongside some residents," Bakatsine wrote on X.

He prayed for the victims' safe return and urged authorities to address the persistent security challenges facing communities across the country.
