The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a 12-day preventive maintenance exercise at its Delta 132/33kV Transmission Substation, warning residents and businesses across several parts of Delta State to expect daily power outages during the period.

According to the company, the maintenance exercise commenced on June 4 and will continue until June 16, 2026, with work scheduled daily between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

In a statement issued on Friday by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, TCN said the exercise is aimed at improving the reliability and efficiency of electricity transmission infrastructure in the state.

The company explained that engineers are carrying out the installation of a bus coupler circuit breaker and the rehabilitation of five isolators on the substation's main busbar.
