Mexican police discovered four decapitated bodies in an abandoned vehicle next to a government building in the southern state of Guerrero, authorities reported on Thursday (local time).
Clashes between drug cartels plague the region, where Mexico's major port and beach resort Acapulco is located.
The bodies, wrapped in plastic, were found in a car next to a back entrance of the state congress building in Guerrero's capital Chilpancingo, sources from the state prosecutor's office said.
