Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has stated, ahead of his departure for the EU-Western Balkans summit, that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz should lead negotiations on behalf of the European Union with the aim of ending Russia's aggression in Ukraine.

Details: In Babiš's view, the continuation of the conflict will bring nothing positive, while it is equally clear that the aggressor is Russian ruler Vladimir Putin and that US President Donald Trump is focused on the Middle East and resolving the issue of the Strait of Hormuz blockade.
