We’ve been fans of J.Crew’s Étienne button-down oxford shirt for years. Senior writer Ambar Pardilla counts it one of the best white button-downs, saying that she always feels well dressed in J.Crew shirts, “which are well made and well tailored — even as someone who’s bustier, curvier, and shorter.” It’s also a favorite shirt of contributor Jennifer Cook, who named it the winner of her hunt for the perfect oversize white button-up. “The cotton is still substantial enough to hold its shape and not look too drapey and flimsy,” she says.
