Manipur govt focuses on justice, economic inclusion and reconciliation: CM Yumnam Khemchand SinghGuwahati: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh said that the state Government’s approach is to build justice, economic inclusion and patient reconciliation.Singh took part in the 73rd Plenary Session of the Northeastern Council (NEC) chaired by Union Home Minister and NEC Chairman Amit Shah at Shillong, Meghalaya.Sources said that Singh thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their continued support to the Northeastern Region for ensuring peace, progress and prosperity.Sources said that the Chief Minister placed before the Council the steps taken up by the State with the help from DoNER and NEC including completion of 167 projects worth nearly Rs 1,792 crore under various schemes.Sources said that the chief minister placed before the Council that as Manipur steps forward with renewed resolve after the May 2023 violence, the State requires enhancement of the State’s normative allocation under the DoNER Ministry and the NEC. “The State Government has consistently conveyed the message that dialogue is the only path forward. The State Government’s approach is to build justice, economic inclusion and patient reconciliation”.
