The incident occurred at an airport gate at approximately 12.45pm local time (10.45am GMT). Several crew members and ground staff who were on board the aircraft at the time sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment. Passengers had not yet boarded the aircraft, which was scheduled to depart for Los Angeles as flight LH450.
