The notice to quit requires her to vacate the property before the expiration of the tenancy period she claims she paid for.

A Lagos resident, Miss Faith Praise Akpan, who was among several other apartment seekers in Lagos who lamented how a house owner identified as Mr Femi Olarenwaju, allegedly collected rent from over 15 people for the same apartment, leaving them stranded, indebted and traumatised, has been served a notice to quit.

The notice to quit requires her to vacate the property before the expiration of the tenancy period she claims she paid for.

The notice to quit document obtained by SaharaReporters shows that Akpan was issued a "Notice to Quit to Tenant-at-Will" dated May 29, 2026, by Lagos-based law firm Tokun Pedro & Co., acting on behalf of the administrators of the estate of the late Engineer Kolawole Stephen Olarewaju.

The notice, signed by Bolarinwa Sururah Esq., stated that the landlords were demanding possession of the room-and-parlour self-contained apartment occupied by Akpan at No. 2, Ganiyu Shogunle Street, Off Ire Akari Estate, Isolo, Lagos.
