Bafana Bafana have wasted no time settling into life in Mexico, with the squad already intensifying preparations ahead of their highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup opener against hosts Mexico next week.

After arriving in Pachuca earlier this week, Hugo Broos' men went straight to work at the city's world-class training facilities as they continue adapting to the high-altitude conditions that await them during the tournament.

Pachuca, situated more than 2,400 metres above sea level, was specifically selected as South Africa's base camp to help players acclimatise before their opening fixture in Mexico City.
