HENDERSON, Nev. — Maxx Crosby is over it. He’s done talking about all things related to his brief departure from the Las Vegas Raiders. The All-Pro pass rusher called his nixed trade to the Baltimore Ravens “water under the bridge” following the Raiders’ organized team activities Wednesday. Crosby, speaking to reporters for the first time since the Ravens backed out of the deal in March, said he wants to leave it in the past.“It’s a long time ago,” Crosby said. “A lot of things I learned about what’s going on and just what this league can bring. A lot of adversity, a lot of different things you can’t really anticipate a lot. But ultimately, I’ve been through a lot of my life. It’s nothing to me.”Baltimore’s withdrawal came after they failed Crosby on his physical; Crosby was in the early stages of recovery from surgery to repair his torn meniscus when he was examined. League sources told The Athletic that the Ravens’ doctors, along with multiple independent ones, were worried about the long-term prognosis of the repaired left knee despite his short-term outlook being positive. The cancellation prompted worry about Crosby’s health. But in March he and the Raiders were adamant about his return to form, and Crosby continued to quell doubts months later.“The biggest pet peeve of mine is when people see me and they’re like, ‘Hey, are you good?’” Crosby said. “I’m like, ‘S—, I’ve never been better.’ Honestly, and I don’t just say that just to say it. I truly mean it and believe it, and I know it.”Crosby said that he’s “almost back to being” on the field. The pass rusher has been warming up with his teammates before OTA practices, then returning inside to work with team staff on his recovery. Head coach Klint Kubiak said that the Raiders are “counting on” Crosby to be back for training camp in July, but added he “wouldn’t be surprised if Maxx was ahead of schedule.”
