The Scot was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure after being due to attend United's match with Liverpool.‌The 84-year-old was transported away in an ambulance roughly an hour before United's fixture against their bitter rivals got underway, though it was not deemed an emergency scenario. Ferguson was subsequently released to carry on his recovery at home.‌The Premier League icon has now been photographed beaming for a snap with a supporter at a restaurant in Wilmslow, Manchester. Fergie appeared in high spirits after taking a picture with football enthusiast Vimal Devassy, who shared the image online.‌The restaurant employee shared the photograph to his Instagram profile, where he wrote a heartfelt message mentioning his admiration for one of Sir Alex's former players, Cristiano Ronaldo.
