The legal team of Brown Mogotsi says it will challenge the decision to deny him bail, arguing that discrepancies in his address were minor and amounted to an honest mistake.
The legal team of alleged political fixer and North West businessman Brown Mogotsi says it will appeal the bail decision at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, which denied him bail over false residential address and that he could evade trial.
Mogotsi appeared before the court on Thursday for his bail application, but his bid for release was rejected.
The court found that he failed to provide accurate residential addresses and that he could evade trial.
He faces charges of perjury, defeating the ends of justice, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, and discharging a firearm in a public place.
