The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert in six Telangana districts for Friday (June 5, 2026).Also read: Monsoon live tracker on June 4, 2026According to IMD’s latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in the Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool districts. Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in all 33 districts of the State.Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas will see a partly cloudy sky over the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds, are very likely to occur in parts of the city towards the evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 38°C and 28°C, respectively,” the bulletin said.Meanwhile, according to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), multiple Telangana districts have been receiving rainfall on Thursday (June 4, 2026). As of 2 p.m., Pembi in Nirmal recorded a rainfall of 30 mm, followed by 34 mm in Jangaon (Jangaon), 23.3 mm in Cheedella (Suryapet), 21.5 mm in Alladurg (Medak), 18 mm in Narayankhed (Sangareddy), 10.3 mm in Kulcharam (Siddipet) and 8.5 mm in Maryala (Yadadri Bhuvangiri).The Southwest monsoon made its onset over Kerala on Thursday (June 4, 2026).
