Hassan MP Shreyas M. Patel expressed confidence in D.K. Shivakumar’s ability to handle his new responsibilities as Chief Minister of Karnataka, saying he will deliver good governance and ensure the Congress party returns to power in 2028.Speaking to journalists in Hassan on June 4, Mr. Patel said former chief minister Siddaramaiah delivered effective administration and launched five guarantee schemes during his tenure. The new CM would continue on the path laid down by his predecessor. “The new CM is a loyal worker of the Congress party. We have great confidence in his leadership,” he stated.When asked about the possibility of inclusion of Arsikere MLA K.M. Shivalinge Gowda in the cabinet, the MP said, “I have personally appealed to the party high command on behalf of the district, and I am confident that the party will give due recognition to the district in the coming cabinet expansion.”
