The Government of Maharashtra in western India has signed a Letter of Intent with AirTrunk for a data center deal worth 200 billion rupees ($21bn).
The letter pertains to a land allotment at the Raigad Pen Growth Centre, a 1,217-acre smart city located in Pen Taluka, in the state’s Raigad district.

A Letter of Intent, similar to a Memorandum of Understanding, is a preliminary agreement signed between parties that is non-binding.
The data center will provide 3GW of IT capacity at completion, according to a post by Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
