Buenos Aires (EFE).- Thousands mobilized across Argentina on Wednesday to mark the anniversary of the ‘Ni Una Menos’ (Not One Woman Less) movement.
The massive demonstrations channeled anger toward President Javier Milei’s government for dismantling gender violence programs and demanded justice following the recent femicide of 14-year-old Agostina Vega.
Massive crowds, primarily composed of women, gathered with banners and flags near the National Congress in Buenos Aires, as well as in the central districts of major cities like San Miguel de Tucumán, Rosario, Córdoba, and Mar del Plata.
Women of all ages filled the streets to voice their grievances against the judiciary, the executive branch, and Parliament. Some carried messages such as: «A man kills a girl every 31 hours. We are fed up.»
Feminist organizations, opposition political parties, and various labor unions joined this 11th anniversary of the first ‘Ni Una Menos’ march. The collective, founded in 2015, called for this year’s mobilization under the slogan «Vivas, libres y desendeudadas nos queremos» (We want ourselves alive, free, and out of debt).
