A utility vehicle towing a caravan has flipped on a main highway near Wellington, completely blocking northbound lanes and triggering significant traffic queues.
Emergency services were notified just before 11.30am on Thursday that the vehicle rolled on State Highway 1. The crash occurred on Centennial Highway near the Johnsonville Road turn-off.
No injuries have been reported from the scene.
The highway remains closed northbound approaching the Johnsonville Road off-ramp. Police said the road was expected to be closed for some time.
Traffic is currently being diverted via Newlands Road. Significant queues have built up northbound between the SH1/SH2 interchange and Johnsonville.
