Hurricanes halfback Cam Roigard has reflected on his side's rocky playoffs record against the Brumbies ahead of the Super Rugby Pacific qualifying final in Wellington on Friday night.
While the Hurricanes have won two of their last three games against the Brumbies, and will be hunting for back-to-back wins against them for the first time since 2017 after beating them 45-12 in the opening round, they need no reminding about their modest returns in post-season fixtures.
The Brumbies have won their last three finals meetings against the New Zealand team which is coached by Clark Laidlaw.
Last year the Brumbies knocked the Hurricanes out of the title race when they beat them 35-28 in the qualifying final played in Canberra.
Having sent the Hurricanes packing, it was the Brumbies' turn to get a taste of the bad medicine the following weekend when the Chiefs beat them 37-17 in the semifinal in Hamilton.
