John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI, the nation’s leading material resource recovery, ITAD and tech reuse and recycling company, was featured as a speaker on multiple panels at the VerdeXchange annual conference at the Biltmore Los Angeles this week.

First, on Monday, Shegerian served as a moderator and contributor to a panel discussion titled “Critical Minerals for the Energy Transition” alongside Steve Schell of Solgraph and Kevin Kammerzell of Stantec. The discussion focused on the timely topic of how the US and other nations can secure a stable, sustainable, and competitive supply chain for critical minerals.

Later, on Tuesday, Shegerian was featured as part of a circular economy based panel discussion titled “Breaking the Toxic Cycle with Circularity” in which he was joined on stage by Michael Silva of CR&R and Chris Sheppard of the Department of Public Works, LA County. The conversation was moderated by Heidi Sanborn of the National Stewardship Action Council, and Shegerian and his fellow panelists shared stories and insights on circular solutions for hazardous waste challenges and problems, including the massive glut of e-waste, the world’s fastest growing waste stream.
