Starting this week, the Swiss Embassy in Athens will be housed in a new facility in the historic Plaka district.

The new Swiss House of Culture, Research, and Diplomacy unites diplomatic, cultural, and scientific representations under one roof and is also home to the Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece and the FLUX Laboratory.

“We have deliberately moved to the center of Athens, right in the heart of the city, in Plaka, at the foot of the Acropolis,” said Swiss Ambassador to Greece Stefan Estermann.

“We wanted to be close to the people, both Athenians and visitors alike. Switzerland now has a modern and innovative embassy that matches the level of our relations with Greece and is worthy of Athens’ significance as one of Europe’s great capitals.”

The embassy’s new address is 5 Palaiologou Benizelou, 10556 Athens.
