It’s gentle and effective for those with sensitive skin.
Applied after cleansing but before moisturizing, this exfoliant has a silky, watery texture you can drip out of the bottle and pat over your face and neck as needed. Other than salicylic acid, this product is loaded with green tea to help prevent irritation. The brand says it’s effective for reducing redness, purifying clogged and enlarged pores, evening bumpy skin texture and brightening up dullness.
Many claim that despite it being an exfoliant, it’s surprisingly calm and gentle on the skin. “I have sensitive skin, and can’t just use anything on my face,” explains one user. “Other reviewers said the same and they had no issues with this product irritating their sensitive skin. [It] absolutely did NOT irritate my skin! I wash my face, apply it, then apply my lotion. No burning of any sort. It was so gentle, I was half thinking it might not even have anything in it even to do what it says it can do!”
A safe warning, though: As gentle as this stuff may be, it’s a solid idea to slowly ramp up to using it multiple times a week. Most reviewers say they’ve had luck with using this twice a week, all without breakouts, but since all skin is different, your mileage may vary.
