Former Kazhakuttam Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] area secretary in-charge S.S. Biju has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was welcomed into the party by BJP State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar at a function held at Mararji Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday (June 3, 2026).Having held the positions of CPI(M) Kazhakuttam Town local committee secretary for 17 years, Kazhakuttam area center member, area secretary in-charge, and Kazhakuttam Sree Mahadevar temple advisory board secretary, Mr. Biju said that he joined the BJP attracted by the idea of a developed Kerala put forward by Mr. Chandrasekhar.BJP State general secretary S.
